Dr. Kim Elizabeth Pender,
DNP, WHNP-BC, APRN
Women's Health Nurse Practitioner · Hormone Replacement Therapy Specialist
Dr. Kim Elizabeth Pender is a board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner who leads the women's hormone therapy program at Radiant Health. Her clinical practice is devoted to caring for women across every stage of life, from reproductive years through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.
Kim's women's health expertise is rooted in years of high-acuity bedside experience in labor & delivery, mother-baby, and acute care nursing, where she cared for high-risk obstetric patients through antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases, supported emergent interventions including hemorrhage and eclampsia, and precepted new graduate nurses. She brings that same hands-on clinical judgment and acute-care depth to every patient she sees today.
Her doctoral work, completed in conjunction with the University of South Alabama and OB/GYN Specialists of the Palm Beaches, focused on hormone replacement therapy and the integration of standardized depression and anxiety screening tools for perimenopausal and menopausal women in OB/GYN practice settings. That research shaped a clinical framework she now applies directly in practice: evidence-based HRT protocols, careful symptom tracking, and individualized dosing that addresses the full picture of menopause rather than treating symptoms in isolation. It is a level of specialized expertise most primary care settings simply are not equipped to deliver.
Beyond menopause care, Kim also supports women navigating PMOS (Polycystic Metabolic & Ovarian Syndrome), the updated clinical framework for what has traditionally been called PCOS, with individualized hormone, metabolic, and cycle-management protocols.
Kim also draws on her own menopause journey. She has lived through the hot flashes, sleep disruption, brain fog, pelvic health changes, joint and muscle pain, and metabolic shifts that so often define this stage of life, and she has experienced firsthand how transformative properly managed hormone replacement therapy can be for restoring energy, comfort, mood, and quality of life. That lived experience, paired with her clinical training and research, is the foundation of how she cares for every Radiant Health patient.
Experience
Twenty years of caring for women
I started as a labor and delivery nurse at Wellington Regional, caring for women through pregnancy and birth and those first days home with a new baby, and teaching the nurses coming up behind me. From there I moved into high risk obstetric case management and then into acute care and behavioral health leadership, and over more than twenty years I have seen what happens when women are truly listened to and what happens when they are not.
That is what led me to become a women's health nurse practitioner and then to earn my doctorate, where my work focused on hormone therapy and mental health screening for women in perimenopause and menopause. Today I also teach obstetrics and pediatrics to the next generation of nurses, because I believe women deserve better care at every stage of life.

Brian J. Moogan,
FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Family & Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner · Men's Hormone Therapy Specialist
Brian J. Moogan is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who leads the men's hormone therapy program at Radiant Health. Brian partners with patients to address the symptoms that quietly erode quality of life, including fatigue, low libido, brain fog, weight gain, and loss of strength, by treating their root cause: hormonal imbalance.
His clinical approach is rooted in evidence-based medicine and individualized care. Every patient receives a comprehensive workup, transparent education about their labs, and a treatment plan built around their goals, whether that's restoring energy, improving body composition, or supporting long-term cardiovascular and metabolic health.
Brian specializes in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), peptide therapy, weight management, and preventive men's health. He brings over a decade of acute care and emergency medicine experience, including ongoing service at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center, to the kind of attentive, unhurried care that men are too often missing from the traditional healthcare system.
Experience
From the back of an ambulance to hormone health
I started out as a paramedic, which is where I learned to think fast and stay calm and figure out what is actually going on with someone in front of me. That work led me into nursing, and nursing led me into practice as a family nurse practitioner, and along the way I went back and earned board certification in psychiatric and mental health care too.
That combination shapes how I work. Energy, sleep, mood, motivation, and drive are all tangled together, and looking at only one of them usually misses the point. I treat the whole picture, I explain what I am thinking, and I build a plan with you rather than handing you one.
